Description
Summary:A lens coloboma is a rare congenital anomaly characetrised by its nothching at the eguator occurring generally at the site of embryonic fissure i.e. inferonasally. Superior Lens Coloboma is rare ocular finding. We present a case of 16 years old female patient presenting to us with diminished vision in the right eye. Best Corrected Visual acuity (BCVA) was Finger Counting at 3 metre and on retinoscopy, it was found to be a hypermetropic astigmatic refractive error, which lead to amblyopia. Slit lamp examination revealed superior iris coloboma with a small lens coloboma. The visual prognosis of such patients depend upon the time of detection and early visual rehabilitation.
