| Summary: | The coastal environment functional zoning in Zhejiang Province plays an important role in the protection of the coastal environment and the adjustment of the coastal resources exploitation and utilization, and has become an important basis for the coastal environment supervision. However, under the optimization of territorial spatial planning and high-quality development of marine economy, it has showed a significant lag. This paper analyzed its main problems through the experience of the coastal environment functional zoning in Zhejiang Province in compiling, adjusting, monitoring and evaluating. On this basis, policy recommendations for the management were put forward, including the important principle of ecological priority and bottom-line constraint, the orderly connection to the Zhejiang Province′s territorial spatial planning, the scientific control measures of different zones, the integration of various marine planning and protection objectives, and the sound management boundaries based on land-sea coordination.
