Description
Summary:At Snezhnoe ruby deposit, localized in the eastern part of the tectonic zone of Central Pamir, two generations of sсapolite have been discovered by the textural and structural features. The first one is in paragenesis with ruby, plagioclase, phlogopite, muscovite, margarite and fuchsite. It was formed under the regional metamorphism of the high-temperature amphibole facies in the Early Proterozoic. The second generation is localized in the veins of the crossing ruby bodies. Two types of the veins have been distinguished: monomineral scapolite veins and polymineral - scapolite-margarite-muscovite ones. They were formed at the regressive stage of Cretaceous-Paleogene tectonic metamorphic cycle.
