description In order to give full play to the economic application value of Xinjiang Apocynum venetum and reduce the environmental pollution caused by the traditional chemical degumming process, a combination of biological and chemical method is used to degum Apocynum venetum. The orthogonal test method is used to explore the optimal parameters for the degumming process. The surface morphology, crystallinity, fineness, strength, moisture regain, and spinnability index of the fibers are tested after degumming. The results showed that after degumming, the fiber fineness was 4.97 dtex, the strength was 22.84 cN/dtex, the crystallinity was 74.5%, the moisture regain reached 7.7380%, and the spinnability was good.
