Description
Summary:The article is devoted to a political and psychological study of the perception of Victory Day of the youth of the EAEU countries. The purpose of the study: to identify and compare key features of the perception of the holiday and the image of the World War II in the minds of the youth of Russia and allied states (Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan) in the context of current political challenges, modification of the history and influence of the media on the representations of young citizens who are important "guides" of the renewed vision of the collective memory of the peoples of the post-Soviet space. Among the tasks, the solution of which allows achieving the goal, stand out - the formation of the problematic field of perception of Victory Day in the Eurasian space and the adaptation of various theoretical and methodological approaches in the study of its image. The research methodology contains focused interviews. To interpret the data, qualitative methods with quantitative elements were used, in particular, coding and scaling methods for answers to open questions. The topic unites a wide range of problems that are important for understanding the future post-Soviet society: attitude to collective memory in its political dimension, mass actions; political techniques in the process of forming a national-state identity; the problem of the mythological foundations of images of the past, taking in to account the influence of foreign policy factors on the development of the domestic political process, etc. The research results can be analyzed on the example of the cultural heritage of young people, and also differences in laws that demonstrate the relationship of the educated past and the specifics of the cultural heritage of each individual country are recorded. Scientific novelty of the research: for the first time a conceptual model for analyzing the image of the Great Patriotic War was proposed; Based on the materials of focused interviews, an assessment was made of the qualitative indicators of the perception of Victory Day among the youth of the EAEU countries, tendencies towards a departure from traditional Soviet masculine images were revealed, and a shortage of large-scale unifying symbols in modern Eurasian politics was recorded.
