Results show that the solidification time of 1.9 t slab ingot body and whole ingot are respectively 64 min and 83 min, it corresponds with calculation results by experience formula; the columnar crystal thickness is about 150 mm and the width of equiaxed crystal zone is about 260 mm; and there is no shrinkage cavity in 1. 9 t slab ingot only with slight porosity.
