Description
Summary:Mixed oxide catalysts of Co, Ni, Cu and Mn supported on MgO were synthesized using two different methods to obtain nanoparticles: the combustion method with urea and the sol-gel modified with citric acid. Different techniques were used to determine their physicochemical properties. X-ray diffraction (XRD), the N2 physisorption by BET method, the temperature programmed reduction (TPR-H2), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and energy dispersive X-ray (EDX). The results show particle sizes between 5 and 31nm in diameter for solid preparations. Co and Mn show changes in their oxidation states.
