Summary:The format of sub-MAC PDU’s header and sub-header was analyzed in WiMAX system.And a compression algorithm was proposed,which encoding CID using reserved bits of the sub-MAC PDU’s header and sub-header,thus redundant information was compressed efficiently after information classification.Algorithm flow was introduced in de-tails,radio channel and CID mapping table were analyzed quantitatively.The simulation results show that the proposed compression mechanism achieves satisfactory compression effect.
