| Summary: | The Breton dialect of Quiberon is almost extinct nowadays. It is only spoken or understood by people in their seventies and we have witnessed its disappearance, drowned as it was in an ever-growing sea of French speakers. It belonged to the coastal group of eastern Vannetais and presented within it an originality and particularities which were studied, rather briefly, by J. Loth in an article published in the Revue Celtique. We propose to complete this study, which already opens up horizons on the character of this dialect, by using the ideas of the inventor of structuralism, the Russian Nicolas Sergueevitch Troubetzkoy. |
