HISTORIOGRAPHY, THEORETICAL AND METHODOLOGICAL BASES OF TERRORISM RESEARCH

<p>In this article the author examines the theoretical, methodological and historiographical background of the terrorism <br />phenomenon research. The author, also, makes an attempt to systematize the scientific literature on terrorism; theoretical <br />and methodological approaches of the phenomenon are also defined. The author notes that, the phenomenon of terrorism <br />is a multidimensional one. Terrorism is known to mankind since ancient times. For centuries it was used as illegal, but a <br />sharp and effective tool in a political struggle. But at the end of the 20th and at the beginning of the 21st century, terrorism <br />acquires the characteristics of an international phenomenon. Its goals and objectives, as well as its human constituent <br />components cross the national boundaries and cultures and become an international phenomenon.</p><p><strong>ISTORIOGRAFIA, BAZELE TEORETICO-CONCEPTUALE ŞI METODOLOGE ÎN </strong><strong>CERCETAREA TERORISMULUI</strong></p><p>În articol sunt examinate bazele istoriografice, teoretico-conceptuale şi metodologice ale cercetării fenomenului <br />terorismului. De asemenea, autorul sistematizează literatura ştiinţifică axată pe această tematică şi evidenţiază <br />abordările teoretico-metodologice în cercetarea fenomenului. Se menţionează că fenomenul terorismului, între care şi <br />terorismul internaţional, este multiaspectual şi multifactorial. Terorismul este cunoscut omenirii încă din antichitate. <br />De-a lungul secolelor, terorismul a fost folosit ca o armă ilegală, dar puternică şi eficientă în lupta politică. Însă, anume <br />la sfârşitul secolului XX şi la începutul secolului XXI terorismul dobândeşte trăsăturile unui fenomen internaţional. <br />Scopurile şi obiectivele, precum şi componentele sale umane care îl coordonează, merg dincolo de hotarele naţionale <br />ale statelor şi de culturi şi transformă terorismul într-un fenomen internaţional.</p>
