الملخص:Human herpesvirus 6 (HHV-6) is one of the most prevalent childhood viruses. HHV-6 reactivation in allogeneic hematopoietic cell transplant recipients and solid organ transplant recipients is well described in medical literature. We present a case of HHV-6 reactivation causing encephalitis, which is rare in immunocompetent adults.
