الوصف
الملخص:Struma ovarii, also called ovarian goiter, is a rare congenital entity, a monodermal variant of ovarian teratoma. Most often benign, it represents 1% of all ovarian tumors and preferentially affects women in their fifties. Although the thyroid tissue is reigning, it is exceptionally hyperfunctional. Preoperative recognition of struma ovarii is very difficult to achieve and indifference to other ovarian lesions is very common. Clinical and paraclinical appearance is commonly non-specific and does not provide the diagnosis which is only histopathological, generally unexpected on analysis of the resected tumour.
