| 要約: | Inspite of the fact that apertognathia resulting from, vertical skeletal growth discrepancies, abnormal muscular and soft tissue development associated particularly with airway problems and habits such as thumb sucking can be treated successfully with orthodontic treatment alone before puberty has been reached; orthodontic and surgical treatment must be combined, when puberty has been reached. Facial esthetics must be analyzed, esthetics and functional necessities must be determined, systematically cephalometric planning and occlusal studies must be directed before orthognathic surgery. In this article, a case of Class-I anterior open-bite which is corrected by simultaneously use of Wassmudt's osteotomy in the mandible will be presented. |
