Description
Summary:Democracy has evolved from a classical concept centered on majority rule into a dynamic modern system that adapts to societal developments and individual needs. Several key elements have contributed to this transformation, including a constitution that upholds the rule of law, the establishment of institutional governance, and the peaceful transfer of power through free and fair elections. To safeguard democracy and protect individual rights and freedoms, an independent, impartial, and professional body is essential to prevent tyranny and ensure adherence to democratic principles. This role is fulfilled by the constitutional judiciary, which, through constitutional interpretation and oversight of legal compliance, upholds the integrity of the democratic system.
