Every year, they make small adjustments and try to optimize their designs. Unfortunately, this 'optimization' is often a compromise between multiple components and thus the individual components are not working as well as they could be. Axiomatic Design is a methodology which attempts to avoid these relations between components. By fragmenting the assembly into smaller subcomponents, we can identify and sever these couplings.
