Summary:博士 === 國立彰化師範大學 === 特殊教育研究所 === 88 === The effects of independent study program for gifted and talented students in internet-distance learning modal ABSTRECT The purpose of this study was to research the effects of independent study program for gifted and talented student used internet-distance learning modal. Based on research findings independent study has been employed as an enrichment program in many countries that gifted and talented education were well-developed. The study aimed to address the following the studies: an experiment at study of independent study used internet-distance learning on 48 gifted an talented junior high students who were the 1-3 grades. Instruments consisted of the self-designed “ inventory of learning behavior” and “survey of effects of internet- distance learning program”. Obtained quantitative data were analyzed by percentage, while the qualitative, interview data were content analyzed. The main research findings in this program were as follows: 1. With regard to the outcome, 15 gifted and talented students finished their independent study program. 2. Most students believed that a project like was beneficial. 3. In the review, students reported that this project was benefited to their future independent study. Based on the results, recommendations were made to teachers of the gifted and talented students, and schools for future implementation and suggestions for future studies were also discussed.
