With the advanced development of technology, industries have introduced new technologies to improve and control the factors in processing. In terms of petrochemical industry, an effective and secure inspection system plays a critical role in the process security, equipment preventive maintenance, and continuous production capacity. Having regularly internal and external examinations, risk evaluations, and prevention of major failure could ensure the operating security of the process manufacturer and reduce disasters. Traditional inspection and management in petrochemical industry is preceded by on-site operators, who take turns to control the security problems of equipment being corruptive and leaking and ageing pipes. In spite of daily inspections, some problems still need to be overcome, such as the implementation of inspections, the routes being followed, the confusion of equipment records, the handwriting being clear and understandable, the inspectors making up data, and the effects of climate on the inspection and recording. Besides, such inspection records require time and manpower to be transformed into electronic files for filing. During the process, the numerous inspection items are likely to appear errors in data input, which might not be easily found without systematization. Moreover, such enormous data cannot be rapidly analyzed and acquired complete risk evaluation for process security improvement. Based on RFID, this study proposes an electronic inspection and management system suitable for petrochemical industry. The system is designed to correspond to the environmental requirements in petrochemical factories and the regulations, to integrate the operating procedure and information flow, to evaluate and adopt various conditions and variables through interviews and technological analyses for promoting the process security in petrochemical industry, to automatically monitor the processing equipment or devices, to proceed preventive maintenance, and to enhance the production capacity and industrial competitiveness. Meanwhile, the advantages and drawbacks of introducing the electronic inspection system into petrochemical industry are analyzed for enhancing the efficiency and accuracy. In order to solve the shortcomings of the system and promote the efficiency and accuracy, the improved inspection system is added the modular functions of data analyses, alert, and verification. The system could effectively achieve the security and accuracy of data reading. Chen, Tzer-Shyong 陳澤雄 2012 學位論文 ; thesis 71 zh-TW
