Summary:The article is devoted to the problem of the iconic code of Belyj's metapoetics. It is demonstrated this code is the structural principle of Belyj's conception of poetical language. The article analyzes the connections of the iconic component with alliterations, assonances, the specificity of the fantastic imagery and mythopoetics. The author lays emphasis on the connection of sound (that is interpretеd as meaningful unit) and iconic image. The relationship of the «sound word» and the concept of symbol is revealed in the article, the author also detects the mechanisms of acquisition of meaning. The article examines transformations of the «sound rows» of «Glossolalia», detects projections of the «sound plots» of the poem on the different mythological plots.
