Description
Summary:Introduction: The replacement of missing teeth in the maxillary anterior region represents a complex challenge because of the difficulty in reforming the natural appearance and papillary anatomy. Objective: To present a case where a tooth of doubtful prognosis with a crown pin, was replaced by an immediate implant Avanza implant. Case report: A 24 year old female patient came to our multidisciplinary Implantology Prosthetics Teaching Clinic in Marianao, with a discolouring crown pin in the upper right central incisor that affected her esthetics. Furthermore it is constantly stirred and it was slightly swollen in the marginal gingiva and interdental papillae, which caused pain and bleeding on contact. After a multidisciplinary evaluation and consent of the patient, we proceed to the removal of the crown bridle and the exodontia of root 11 by flap technique. Avanza implant was placed and rehabilitated immediately with a removable acrylic partial denture for esthetic reasons. Conclusion: With this treatment, the patient maintained the contour of soft tissue and bone height of the operated area, needed to achieve excellent esthetic results.
