Previous research has shown that adding latex can reduce temperature susceptibility of an asphalt binder. Latex is widely available in Indonesia and the introduction of rubberized bitumen in form of latex-bitumen in road construction merits consideration. The objectives of the research was to investigate the effect of latex on physical properties of an asphalt binder, particularly its temperature compaction of an asphalt mixture. Bitumen used was 60/70 penetration grade and latex used was Dry Rubber Content (DRC) 60. Methods of testing conformed to SNI. Other standard such as ASTM E 102-93(1997) was used when SNI standard was not available. The result of tests on binders containing 0%, 2%, 4% and 6% by weight of bitumen indicated that temperature compaction increases as latex content increases.http://journal.um.ac.id/index.php/teknologi-kejuruan/article/view/3112aspallateks dan temperatur pemadatan
