Summary:Between the pre-roman age and 19th century, the author plots a panorama of linguistic situation of the present territory of Navarre, from the successive or simultaneous presence of the original Basque language, the Celtiberic, the Latin, the Arab, a ballad connect with neighbouring territory (La Rioja and Aragó) and the Castilian, among other languages, in accordance with this, it is an area that stopped being monolingual in Basque language since an early age.
