Description
Summary:The incidence of stroke and systemic emboli was studied, as well as the adequacy of antithrombotic therapy in 664 patients with non-valvular atrial fibrillation and acute cerebral circulation, according to the KRAF hospital register. The analysis showed that the frequency of thromboembolic complications in patients with AF increases with age, while in women, the frequency of stroke occurred significantly higher than in men. Adequate treatment of oral anticoagulants at the prehospital stage was taken by less than 50% of patients with advanced stroke.
