| Summary: | This article is dedicated to the crisis in Venezuela. The global and regional contexts of the US subversive activities against the Bolivarian leadership are analyzed. The mechanism of a new type of “color revolution”, used against Venezuela, is revealed for the first time. The scheme, in accordance with which Washington, having activated up the overthrow of the Chavista, is seeking a split among them, is revealed. The conclusion is made about the need to correct the Russian policy towards Venezuela because of the high risk of overthrowing the power of the Chavista. According to the authors actions against Venezuela should be coordinated with Cuba, which is also extremely interested in keeping the Chavista in power.
