| Summary: | The goal of this article is review on case study methodology as a comprehensive method for theorizing in field of health and evaluating its applications. The method of this article is review and description of case study as a comprehensive study and in macro level as an integrated and combined strategy intend to explain goals of the method, definition of CASE, how to select it, conceptual framework and phases in case study methodology. According to review and analysis of literature about case study methodology, it is concluded that case study methodology is neglected in health management and planning research. Considering advantages of this method, it is recommended to do further study and application of it to theorizing and evaluating as well as solving the problems in health system.
