Endoscopic surgery of large intestine's polypoid neoplasms
In this work the data of results of 259 patients observation with large intestine's polyps who had been treated in the Municipal clinical hospital № 2 in Nalchik during last 5 years are given. All mentioned patients underwent to endoscopic polypectomy. The patients were from 5 to 82 years old....

Summary: | In this work the data of results of 259 patients observation with large intestine's polyps who had been treated in the Municipal clinical hospital № 2 in Nalchik during last 5 years are given. All mentioned patients underwent to endoscopic polypectomy. The patients were from 5 to 82 years old. All in all 535 neoplasms were removed. All removed neoplasms were extracted and sent for histological analysis except for 83 small neoplasms with the diameter less then 0,4 cm. These polyps are removed by electrocoagulation. The largest numbers of 452 extracted polyps were different types of adenomas. 28 of them were malignant. 12 patients with invasion of cancer cells into the submucosal layer were sent for surgical treatment. The other 16 patients had no invasion of cancer cells into the submucosal layer. Endoscopic polypectomy was evaluated as radical operation. There were no complications. All patients were discharged from the hospital in 2-7 days after operation. There were no recidives during 3-5 years. |
