Experimental study of a solar water heater fitted with spacer at the leading edge of Left-Right screw tapes

Experimentation is performed on the thermosyphon SWH with a full-length twisted tape, twist fitted with rod and spacer at the leading verge with 150, 300, and 450 mm length and for the small twist at the ratio of 3. The maximum heat loss by the rod and spacer for a length of 450 mm is 24% and 33%. S...

Description
Summary:Experimentation is performed on the thermosyphon SWH with a full-length twisted tape, twist fitted with rod and spacer at the leading verge with 150, 300, and 450 mm length and for the small twist at the ratio of 3. The maximum heat loss by the rod and spacer for a length of 450 mm is 24% and 33%. Similarly, the friction reduction occur is nearly 53% and 56% respectively. Correlation established for friction factor falls in Nusselt number and variation falls in that order of 13% and 15%. The increasing rod and spacer length decrease the heat augmentation and friction.
