Summary:Introduction: Fire stations as a place for locating firefighters and equipment are an important center for emergency services in urban societies. This research aimed to prioritize the improvement tasks of service quality in Yazd fire stations using AHP and TOPSIS. Methods: In this descriptive-analytic study, the information about personnel in stations and mission command, stations buildings and equipment was collected, then 25 experts completed the questionnaires and prioritized the actions that should be done for fire station quality improvement. Then to demonstrate the ranking of each action, TOPSIS method and AHP were used. Results: According to AHP, degree of impact on the operations with 0.572 score was the highest priority, then being time consuming and expensive were the next priorities with 0.291 and 0.137 score, respectively. Conclusion: However, it seems paying more attention to actions that have high impact on final operations is more effective to improve the service quality of Yazd fire stations.
