This study was done to make the preparation of lipstick from pomegranate extract and determine the effect of different concentrations of pomegranate extract. The extract was made by maceration method using 96% ethanol as a solvent, then the solvent concentrated by rotary evaporator to get the pomegranate extract. The Components of lipstick were cera alba, alba vaseline, cetyl alcohol, carnauba wax, lanolin, propylene glycol, nipagin, ricini oleum, oleum rosae, as used the pomegranate extract with a concentration of 15%, 18% and 21%. The tests of lipstick’s quality that’s organoleptic test, homogeneity test, pH test, melting point test, stability test, and irritation test. The Preparations of lipstick so easily to apply and homogeneous, not irritating, stable, typical smell, a cylindrical shape, and the pink color. The average pH measurement from lipstick which containing pomegranate extract with a concentration of 15%: 4, 06%: 3.68 and 21%: 3.53.
