In particular, the media strives to transform the phenomenon of religion in its own systematic way and to make it a tool to influence identity. In the study; It is aimed to understand the function of the media and to reveal how young people reflect the media in their own religious identities, especially in the con struction of religious identity. As a result of the findings of this study, which used qualitative interview technique and phenomenological research method, it was understood that the role that young people place on the media in both their subjective identities and religious identities is not a fundamental con structing role, but rather a role that affects the identities that are possessed. While religion is the most important factor in building daily life, the media has been perceived as a tool that addresses situations seen as necessities such as curiosity, agenda tracking, or communication in everyday life and is a source of information.https://dergipark.org.tr/tr/pub/mediad/issue/63219/922886mediaidentityreligious identityyouth
