The process of continued education was linked to a project about materials and Technologies for Environmental Education with the generator theme of Sustainability. It was developed with eighteen teachers that use the resources form the computer labs of nine city and state public schools of four cities (Itajaí, Navegantes, Camboriú and Itapema) by the Education, Environmental Studies and Society Research Group - GREES, of the Post Graduate Program in Education of Univali, Itajaí, Santa Catarina. The process experienced resulted in the production of a multimedia material about the theme Generation of Sustainability with pedagogical activities using as support presentations, conceptual maps, blogs, games, presented as strategies in the learning-teaching process. In the projects developed in the schools we point out that quotation of references used during the continued teaching process such as Tozoni-Reis (2006), Guerra and Taglieber (2007), Guimarães (2004), Loureiro (2004), among others, and the use of TICS and of VLE points to changes of the practices with the use of the critical and emancipating approach of EE, and the distancing of the traditional pedagogy. The research also revealed the obstacles and possibilities in the appropriation of the use of technologies as an innovation in the pedagogical practices. The speeches of the teachers evidenced the importance of continued education in the social-environmental field, technical, methodological and innovational improvement related to the use of technological tools in the pedagogical practice for Environmental Education.http://www.redalyc.org/articulo.oa?id=189115368006
