One of the pioneers of the future falangist chain of newspapers, the diary from Oviedo constitutes an excellent observatory to revise the falangist attitude towards the Civil War, the intervention of the fascist powers on it, and the political evolution inside the rebel faction. At the same time, the isolation of Oviedo and its location in the front line accentuated the falangist conception of the press as a war instrument in the journal, leading also to the adaptation of its funding, edition and news input systems to the peculiar war circumstances, thus becoming an original hybrid between trench press and rearguard press.http://journals.openedition.org/argonauta/760war’s pressFranquismSpanish Civil WarFalangeAsturiasCadena del Movimiento |
