| Summary: | The article discusses the problems of communicative counseling. The latter is regarded as a branch of applied linguistics, related to the optimization of the hominization function of language and speech. Communicative counseling involves: 1) the application of knowledge about the structure and functioning of language in order to improve the use of a sublanguage or a language and communicative competence of personality, 2) a set of procedures designed to help people in solving communication problems and making important decisions in the field of professional, personal and interpersonal communication.
