Ethyl 2,6-Dimethoxybenzoate: Synthesis, Spectroscopic and X-ray Crystallographic Analysis

The acid catalyzed esterification of 2,6-dimethoxybenzoic acid (1) in the presence of absolute ethanol afforded ethyl 2, 6-dimethoxybenzoate (2).
