Awareness of this kind of negative consequences has prompted the need for changing the way of farming. Taking into account the processes of European integration, changes began to take place in the direction of the “green economy”. In the process of transforming the economy on the “green economy” principles, an important role is played not only by the state, but also by self-regulatory organizations. Purpose. The purpose of this article is to study the role of self-regulatory organizations in the development of the Ukrainian agrarian sector on the basis of the “green economy”. Results. The agrarian sector of the economy is the basis for the development of a “green economy” both in the whole world and also in Ukraine. Because this sector not only provides the population with food, but also is a raw material base for the production of renewable energy sources. The Strategy for the Development of the Agricultural Sector during the period up to 2020 states that one of the main problems of the agrarian sector development of the economy is insufficient efficiency of self-organization and self-regulation of the agricultural market, complexity in the development of agricultural commodity producers consolidated position to protect their interests. The first step towards the development of the self-regulation institute in the agricultural sector was the draft Law of Ukraine “On the basics of self-regulation in the agrarian sector at the Ukrainian economy”. Industry associations and public organizations operate in the territory of our state, while fulfilling their functions, to a certain extent carry out the role of self-regulatory organizations, but without official status. Conclusions. Thus, we can say that self-regulatory organizations are very important for improving the control and management of the country’s agrarian sector. But for this state it is necessary to create the appropriate institutional support that would stimulate the creation of such organizations. Self-regulatory organizations play an important role in adopting transparent and fair government decisions, including in the agrarian sector. Therefore, for the effective transition of the agrarian sector to the principles of the “green economy” and the establishment of relations between the state and business, the institute of self-regulation in Ukraine needs to be improved.https://modecon.mnau.edu.ua/issue/10-2018/bilokinna.pdfself-regulatory organizations“Green economy”agrarian sectorinstituteindustry associationspublic organizations
