The experiment was vegetation house, during the months of April to May of 2005. They were made the applications of the doses of limestone dolomitic of 0, 4, 8 and 16 t.ha-1, in the presence and absence of 8 t.ha-1 of agricultural plaster. Cultivated two bean plants by vase, cut to the 50 days after the emergency. The excess limestone, in the absence and in the presence of plaster, it harmed the production of dry matter of the aerial part of the bean plant. The acidity activates of the soil it was only neutralized by the limestone. In compensation, the gypsum intensified the reduction of potential acidity of soil. The Ca of the soil was increased by the addition of gypsum. The gypsum reduced the disponibilização of Mg of the soil, even in the presence of 16 t.ha-1 of limestone dolomitic. In the gypsum absence, the lime elevated the tenors of SO42- of the soil. On the other hand, the limestone addition reduced SO42-. dx.doi.org/10.5747/ca.2008.v04.n2.a037LimestoneGypsumBean plant
