The sample consisted of 2257 children , 1362 males and 859 females, in the first six grades of the basic stage in all the geographical and administrative areas in Jordan. The tools in this study were a questionnaire concerning television viewing. and school grade records. The results of the study were as follows: 1. The mean of television viewing of the sample was 3.38 hours daily. 2. There were no significant statistical differences between means of groups in television viewing due to sex effect. 3. There were significant statistical differences between means of groups in television viewing due to class effect. 4. There were significant statistical differences between means of groups in television viewing due to interaction between sex and class. 5.
