The usage of CES-therapy in postoperative hypothyroidism leads to a significant decrease of TSH, fT3 and fT4. On this background, signs of protein-synthetic failure are observed. The isolated usage of L-thyroxin leads to a significant increase in the content of fT4 with a decrease of TSH and close to normal values of fT3 while there are signs of an expressed activation of protein catabolism. It is shown that only a comprehensive application of CES-therapy and L-thyroxine leads to the increase of TSH concentration amid rising fT3 and fT4.
