Summary:The article aims to commemorate Zofia Florczak (1912-1996), a teacher with a Ph.D. in Polish philology, a scoutmaster, the last chief of the Polish Scouting Association for Girls before it was taken over and dissolved by the communist authorities. In 1954 she started working at the Institute of Literary Research of the Polish Academy of Sciences, the Laboratory of Theoretical Poetics and Literary Language. She is the author of studies of the history of female scouting, researcher of the history of linguistics, and the author of valuable works in this field. The aim of the paper is also to present the legacy of Z. Florczak, preserved in the special collection of the Alfons Parczewski Pedagogical Library in Kalisz. Her heritage consists of workshop materials, notes, typescripts of her works, correspondence, as well as other materials related to her interests and scientific activity.
