Description
Summary:Trichinellosis is a zoonosic disease veiculated by a parasite nematode genre trichinella. At slaughterhouse controls are executed on sample of striated muscle, sampled with one of the methods described in Regolamento CE 2075/05. During year 2009 were analyzed 2853 samples of muscle taken from a single slaughterhouse. The results, all negatives, confirm the literature data, according which the main sources of risk do not derive from animals raised in Italy but from import of animals or food from foreign countries.
