| Summary: | This paper covers how Turkish Librarianship was given a direction in the period of September 1992 - July 1993 during which the author was the editor, reflecting the approach of the Executive Board towards relationships with members, using the journal not only to publish scholarly articles and news, but also use it as a communication channel to create a dinamic relationship. Rules were set for submission of papers for publication and abstracts added. These developments have enabled the journal to be abstracted in LISA and thus gain international recognition. However, cover design could not developed as desired, neither the project to create a section of briefings for professional development purposes could not be realised duirng this short span of time. Bu bildiri, yazarın Türk Kütüphaneciliği dergisinin yazı işleri sorumluluğunu taşıdığı Eylül 1992 - Temmuz 1993 arasında derginin nasıl bir perspektifle yönlendirildiği, uluslararası nitelik kazandırılarak LISA'da yer almasının sağlanması ve yapılabilenlerin yanında nelerin gerçekleştirilemediğini kapsamaktadır.
