Methods: A total of 140 patients with new tumors were randomly divided into completely informed group, partly informed group and uninformed group. Health education intervention was made to improve the mental health of patients. Results: The SDS and SAS scores of completely informed and partly informed groups were higher than those in the uninformed group. After health education intervention, the SDS and SAS scores of all groups were higher than those before. Conclusion: There were some negative influences when patients with new tumors were informed about the disease.
