So far, conventional therapy has failed to restore neurological function poststroke. Neurorestorative strategy has provided therapeutic benefit for the treatment of stroke. This review outlines the clinical advances, in which cell-based neurorestorative strategies offer the broadest range of potential treatments for stroke.
