Kerim Fırat’ın “Adsız Kahramanlar” İsimli Tefrikası Çerçevesinde Milli Mücadele’de Antep Savunması

Kerim Fırat,who was a teacher from Siverek, was a reserve officer during the Urfa Struggle. Through the occupation days, as being a live character of this experience, he considered to deliver the National Struggle’s high-ranking or gradeless heroes’ deeds that he witnessed to the future generations. As being a teacher and a writer carrying this duty on him, he depicted the struggle held throughout the region in his work The Recollections from the Urfa War with his own words, "for the purpose of commemorating the patriotic heroes in Aintab Defense and putting them to their glorious places in Turkish History" he wrote up a feuilleton calling Unnamed Heroes between January 7,1943 and April 16,1943 in New Gaziantep Newspaper. In the forenamed feuilleton, he defragmented Turkish men in the struggle of the patriots whose names were either forgotten or not known. In this study, noticing more than known, the services of Unnamed Heroes who were not commanders or chieftains, so whose names were not encountered much but contributed a lot in the Aintab Defense were dealt.
