Summary:The paper presents the marketing project of forming the image of Sevastopol tourist territory as a tourism area able to provide high quality year-round tourist and recreational services, the welfare of the local population and the preservation and restoration of tourist resource potentialThe project aims at creating the image of the tourist territory of Sevastopol in order to optimize the use of appropriately organized tourist resources, generating significant revenue potential, which may be spent on improving the city’s living conditions and promoting the welfare of its residents.The project includes the development of the concept of tourist area image formation for the Administration of Sevastopol; elaborating medium and long-term marketing programmes for the tourist areas for the Administration of Sevastopol and tour operators and travel agencies, shopping malls, sports federations, committees and other structures localized on territory. To strengthen the project, Sevastopol Tourism Infornmation Centre is being designed as a coordinating and organizational core for a series of activities.The main effects of the project, expected in the future are economic (growth of tourist flows, investment, infrastructure development, actors of the hospitality industry, businesses that use territorial brands and appellations of origin) and social (raising the level and quality of life, including well-being).
