Objective: The study reviewed the application of the component categories Activities and Participation based on the ICF Checklist for multiple sclerosis (MS) and its relationship with the comprehensive and validated Core Sets by occupational therapists. Method: Descriptive quantitative research from collection and organization of data questionnaire based on the components Activities and Participation of the ICF Checklist - Version 2.1ª. Clinical form for the ICF containing 25 categories belonging to 6 domains and analysis of its relationship with the Core Sets. Participated 115 people with relapsing-remitting MS without disability to moderate disability, treated at the Central Institute of Hospital Clinics of the Faculty of Medicine University of São Paulo. We created database in Excel and made descriptive analysis of frequencies. Results: Most participants were women (85), mean age 32 years and 1 month (± 7.4). Study broadens the evidence of the applicability of the Comprehensive Core Set with 88% (22) and Core Set validated by occupational therapists with 72% (18) compared evaluated categories. More significant difficulties were encountered in the categories d640 Doing housework, d430 Lifting and carrying objects and d850 Remunerative employment, which reflected on the performance of various activities and social participation.
