Almost no attempts have been made in Russian translation studies to generalize the history of translations the history of Pushkin's translations Pushkin in the Scandinavian languages. The first translations were made into Swedish. Swedishspeaking authors and translators in Finland played an important role in this process. The number and genre variety of works translated into Swedish also surpasses translations into Danish and Norwegian.
