Description
Summary:If Internet is considered as an intentional network to search for information, a digital gap can be established between those who use social networks for entertainment and fun and those who search for information in Journals’webs. So, the purpose of this cross-sectional and quantitative study was to compare the assumption of eight dimen-sions with the intention of seeking information for academic purposes. The sample was constituted of 253 Mexican students. Besides, a scale was designed in order to measure the psychosocial variable and to establish normal distribution, reliability and validity. Through a structural model [X2 = 24.36 (16gl) p = 0.000; GFI = 1.000; RMR = 0.000], it could be established that anxiety was the factor through which the con-struct “Intentional Net” (β = 0.53) was reflected. Finally, the contribution of this re-search was discussed taking into account the other sevenspecified dimensions.
