| Summary: | Backpacking, one of the ways of making tourism, has significantly increased the number of fans as an alternative segment to conventional tourism. In this sense, the text seeks to present a route that allows the displacement in Mato Grosso do Sul, bordering the international borders with Bolivia and Paraguay. More than just displacement, the backpacker seeks to live and experience nature in its primitive forms, having in contemplation (landscape, rural, leisure) the crucial point of contact with cultures, people, traditions, customs, religiosity, gastronomy, and a way of traveling based on otherness, low financial cost, and interpersonal relationships. With this proposition, the government (local, state, federal, and international) and the entrepreneurs could establish sustainable supports in a territory that has apparatuses for conventional tourists and extend this scope to another category, less financially endowed and that wants to live a unique cultural experience. The local communities, on the other hand, would continue in their homelands with improved quality of life, maintaining for future generations the history of their people. This prerogative would generate more jobs, income, and would export something that would not leave these places: the culture of the South Mato Grosso, the Bolivian, the Paraguayan, and the mixture that exists between both. Having said this, the work is justified by the little literature available and also as a means of inclusion for the thousands of backpackers throughout Brazil. There is room for both.
