Summary: | The objective of this work was describe the acarologic fauna (Order: Ixodida) in the municipality of Bom
Jesus dos Perdões, beyond compare two capture methods at different points and collection times. To
capture were used the drag flannel and carbon dioxide traps. Were performed six collections, one of the
regions was predominantly pasture and other flooded. Overall 133 ticks were collected, of these 122 of
species Amblyomma sculptum and 11 Rhipicephalus sanguineus. Of total, 54 were in larval stage (40,6%)
and the peak of collections happened in June, 50 nymphs (37,5%) with this peak in September and only 29
in adult stage (21,8%) in October. There was no significant difference between the types of traps and the
amount of captured ticks in both collection points. Both capture methods were efficient and the two
collection points showed similar acarologic fauna.
