| Summary: | The work of Louis Althusser enjoyed privileged circulation throughout Latin America by means of a series of intellectual, political and activist journals. In the case of Mexico, this circulation took place during a period of both exponential growth in Marxism in its theoretical aspects, as well of political and philosophical debate. The following pages discuss how his work was incorporated into three journals: Cuadernos Políticos, Dialéctica and Historia y Sociedad. Each of these publications stimulated Althusser’s reception and was a vehicle for the discussion, incorporation and critique of his work. In some of these journals it is possible to detect the pluralism of what has been termed “Althusserianism”. The objective of this text is to trace the path of this pluralism.
